If I Die Young

You know I think one dead giveaway that a person is growing old is the fact that little things can make her tear up. I'll give you a clue to whom I am referring to. The one blogging here. ME!

I easily get teary-eyed these days. Little things like a TV ad, an inspiring quote, a story about someone I don't even know, a song. You name it and chances are I cried a little over it. I am listening to a song entitled If I Die Young by The Band Perry right this very minute. You know when the intro of the song played, I got emotional. Here is the opening lyrics of the song...

If I die young bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

Made me think of passing away and leaving the love ones behind. And it reminded me of my loved ones who already passed away.

Yes, I am turning gray and it's sooner than later.

Establishing topics and pattern of posting

As this blog is fairly new, I would like to determine the pattern of posting I would like to do here.

First off, let me just say that I won't be touching every controversy or issue out there. I will only be blogging about controversies and issues that I have something to say about. I will try as much as I can not to post controversies or issues involving the government here and in other countries.

So with that said, I think I want to put out a topic for the week and will write and discuss that involving specific instances in the past or present. For example, topic for this week is May-December affair. I will be writing specific entries on that topic like that of the marriage of Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. Do you get my drift?

I hope you like my idea and that you will join me in every weekly topic I put out here.

Are they really immoral?

We often hear older people referring to the younger crowd as immoral just because they are wearing sexy clothes, are engaged in public displays of affection (PDAs), are smoking or dancing suggestively, or simply because they look a certain way that do not conform to what the older people think is right.

But are they really immoral just because they look and act not in accordance with what the elders want?

I don't think so.

Help me define what's really immoral as I go along blogging about controversies and issues involving society.

Morality of Man

A man's moral worth is not measured by what his religious beliefs are but rather by what emotional impulses he has received from Nature during his lifetime.
- Albert Einstein

Men are more moral than they think and far more immoral than they can imagine.
- Sigmund Freud

I created this blog to talk about controversial issues in our society, locally and internationally. There are so many controversial topics that I have always wanted to blog about but since I am maintaining family-friendly blogs, I cannot very well write about, say, incest there, right? I cannot write about smoking weed or gay benefactors in my blogs because I can very well lose readers I cultivated over the years.

So this blog will hold every controversial topic that I want to talk about. And there are many, mind you! So how about joining me in this bumpy ride towards what's moral or immoral based on the rules of men and the laws of nature.

Planning for the future

After two deaths in the family, I think it's safe to say that I already learned my lesson. Preparing for the future is mandatory for each one of us. It doesn't matter if you are 20 or 33 (like me) or 40. Prepare for tomorrow. Always have a backup plan. Always have a PLAN for all the things that are inevitable in life.

This blog will share all the preparations I am doing for the future. I do hope I can impart a little bit of information that might be of use to all of us.

Join me in planning for the future and preparing for it!
